About Me

Well for a start my full name is Guy John Zawada, Zawada is from my Grandad being Polish and all and its a pretty awesome surname admitedly, although you always have to spell it out for people but I guess I'm used to it. My hobbies include: Creating 3D models, gaming, rugby, football, socialising.

I study at East Norfolk Sixth Form and my subjects include:

Btec Media (TV and Film)

this takes up half of my overall timetable as its a double but I dont mind, its quite a good course so far I have learned a fair bit about media as a whole, and now I find myself analysing camera angles, shot distance that sort of thing subconciously while watching either a program or a film. I have also made met new people all of which I can consider to be good friends and could openly walk up to any of them and start a conversation. My tutors Sean and Ellie are great and are always willing to listen to you and assist with any issues that you may have, they are very welcoming as are all of the staff that I have met so far. The reason that I chose media is because it goes hand in hand with my priority subject which is games design, the way in which it ties in is within the gaming industry not only is there advertisment required, but there are also in game cutscenes to consider, which after completing my media course I will have a broader skillset in which I can diversify the way that I can work with 3D models in order to create depth in my work.

Creative Media Development (Games Design)

This is the course that I am most interested in because I am looking to go into the gaming industry, either as a 3D/2D designer and/or an animator. I have met some new friends within my class and am enjoying the course so far regardless of the fact i have already done a 2800 word essay type piece, we have also done some 3D modelling. My tutor Dits is easy to get along with and is an avid gamer just as the class is so we regularly have discussions based around gaming.

English Language (iGCSE)

Due to a mix up with my controlled assessments and also the whole ordeal around GCSE English I didnt pass my Language but did pass Literature with a C grade. I plan to get atleast a B in Language and I feel as long as I put in the effort then it will be relatively easilily acheived. My tutor Rebecca is easy to speak to and is supportive, I am sure with her as a tutor the class as a whole will pass.

Graphics (next year)

I am interested in graphics and it very much goes hand in hand with games design.
